The answer was quite simple actually, the instructions are here, but they miss a few key things. First, when you create the registry entry, make sure to put the - in the MAC address like so 00-00-00-00-00-00 instead of 000000000000. Secondly, I had to make sure the first part of the MAC address was 02-00-xx-xx-xx-xx.
